Consents
Section 23 of the Land Drainage Act 1991 prohibits any person from causing an obstruction to flow in any Ordinary Watercourse. Any person carrying out works on an Ordinary Watercourse in an Internal Drainage District requires Land Drainage Consent from the Internal Drainage Board prior to undertaking any works. Where the watercourse is adopted by the Board applications for consent are also required to comply with the Internal Drainage Board Byelaws; these can be viewed under the separate heading to the right.
